I have many hobbies – crochet, cross stitch, digital scrapbook, cooking – but my primary hobby is reading. It always has been. I’ve taught myself to cook dinner while holding a book and thanks to audiobooks I can read while I crochet or stitch, but if I want to create a layout I have to make myself put the book I am reading down.
Sometimes I wonder how I ever manage to complete a layout.
Putting the book down is something I struggle with every day.
I have been keeping a list of the books I read since 1987, when I realized I was buying books from used bookstores that I had already read, only with different covers. It started as a notebook, then a binder, then an Excel spreadsheet, was briefly an Access database and now resides online at Library Thing.
Every month I do a round up & review of the new books I read that month, plus I am going to start listing what I reread
