Scavenger Hunt Update

We’ve had some luck the past 2 weeks with Rinda’s photo scavenger hunt. We’ve managed to add 6 photos.

First DH & I had lunch at a sandwich place near the courthouse & passed the artsy theater on our way there,

Then Mayhem & I did some shopping downtown Saturday and passed the local coffee shop

and hit up the farmer’s market

Wednesday the boys and I headed to the bigger city where we found an outdoor bench

One of the reasons we went was because Bath & Body Shop was having a sale on candles

And DH took a photo of me painting the covered porch

So that is a third of the photos in the challenge so far.

We will be taking an unexpected trip to Wheeling in July. We’d left it too long & couldn’t get a hotel but my folks ended up getting an opportunity to stay at the large guest house they were in 2 years ago & said there is enough room for us if we wanted to come up for a few days.  I had been sad at the thought of a second year without Dicarlos’ Pizza without seeing my family in Wheeling so I jumped at the chance.

I’m hoping we get to visit the zoo or at least the Bass Pro Shop which has a huge aquarium because my only other option for that one is a pet store. It will also give me a chance to see some different fences, sunsets and fire trucks plus there might be a windmill (though I doubt it) or some stained glass or possibly a dinosaur.

How is your photo hunt coming?

Fab photos – I haven’t even started yet!! Well… taken a couple of photos of the girls asleep … that’s a daily opportunity! ;)

  • I am loving the candles, they look like they will smell so nice. The town hall/civic building is so cute. Well done. I need to get out more and keep looking althiough I know where I am getting my stained glass and outside bench so that is a start

  • Great photos and you’ve reminded me – i got the coffee shop last weekend.

  • I need to get my scavenger hunt photos processed and posted… thanks for the reminder. I covet a covered porch – and the weather to sit out on it ;)

  • Loving your photos. Your theater looks like a theater! I am a bit stuck on the coffeehouse/pub one, as I don’t go to either. I guess I’ll just take a photo of one somewhere.

  • I love your courthouse, and I do think your photos have a definite feel of the American south. It’s really fun to see the different parts of the world through the scavenger hunt items.

  • I love your courthouse too. Good luck with the rest of the photos!

I’m not sure how you travel to Wheeling but there is a windmill farm in Somerset,PA and several in Garrett Co, MD. I think you might be able to see them from interstate 68.

  • Zooropa was named for the “Zooropa” leg of the Zoo TV Tour, which began in May 1993 while the band completed the record. The name is a portmanteau of “zoo” (from Zoo TV Tour and ” Zoo Station “) and “Europa”. One of the album’s proposed titles was Squeaky.
