We had a great fall weekend. It was sunny and in the 50s & 60s most of the day.
Friday night DH took the boys to the local high school football game. It was their homecoming & they had all the youth football kids in their jerseys out on the field forming a tunnel for the high school team to run through.
Mayhem was very impressed with the size of high school football players all padded up & how they played the game.
He’s looking forward to being one of them.
We started Saturday morning off with a football game of our own.
We won 18-0, making us 4-2 for the season with one game still to go before the playoffs.
Then we went to Applefest at a local orchard, where the boys climbed on the hay bale playground
and we got pumpkins from the pumpkin patch
We also bought apples & fresh pressed apple cider.
While we were out the dinos got into the cereal
Thank goodness it was the family size box.
Saturday evening we had some friends over and had a bonfire.
Sunday I made apple pie and a curried acorn squash & apple soup that I can’t link too because the recipe is in a book I have.
We also moved the chicken coop from it’s spring/summer area over on the other side of the shed
to their fall/winter area to this side of the shed.
So it was a busy & satisfying weekend here.
How was yours?

We were busy with fall activities, but it was more work than play. I think it’s great that football is going so well.
Rinda
I was stuck on the sofa for most of it!! Not fun!
Looks like you had a great time though – thanks for sharing it with us, I’m living through my friends’ blogs at the moment!
Reese’s Puffs? Now they sound like an intriguing new form of Reese’s yet to reach our shores!
He’ll be one of those big footballers in no time at all..
